Greenway After Dark Series

During the winter, light is limited. Join us for a walk or run on the greenway after dark.

This drop-in program is set up to allow you to get outside, enjoy the greenway, and meet your fitness goals this winter. We will meet at designated locations, and you will be able to move down the greenway and back as you choose.  More information can be found at the City of Raleigh Greenway After Dark Series page.

Each week, we will have a different section of the greenway available to accommodate up to a 3-mile (5Km) run or walk.  Strollers and pets are welcome. Parks staff will be available to provide general direction and support during the program timeframe.

Pre-registration helps us prepare, but is not required.

Art on the Greenway

As part of our mission to activate the Capital Area Greenway, FRoG is preparing a major creative placemaking initiative launching Spring 2026. This project will bring public art to key trail segments, transforming everyday routes into spaces for reflection, joy, and connection.

Public art has the power to celebrate community identity, encourage exploration, and strengthen the greenway’s role as a vital public space. In partnership with local artists, neighborhood groups, and the City of Raleigh, FRoG will help bring new creative energy to the trail system — inviting residents to discover, explore, celebrate, and activate the greenway in fresh ways.

More details will be shared as the project develops.

FRoG is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3)
