🌿🐸Hopping Along the Greenway: A Scavenger Hunt Adventure!🐸🌿

A project of the Friends of Raleigh Greenways, (FRoG) a 501(c)3 NC nonprofit group of volunteers.

Inspired by the Pinecone Pathways Scavenger hunt in Moore County NC

Join the Friends of Raleigh Greenways (FRoG) for an exciting scavenger hunt across Raleigh’s largest park, the Capital Area Greenway! Starting on March 21, we’re hiding concrete frogs along the Greenway trails and inviting YOU to find them.

How it Works:

• Follow weekly clues posted on our social media to discover frog locations hidden along various Greenway trails.
• Each frog has a laminated QR code — scan it to register your find. The more frogs you find, the more chances you have to win exciting prizes!
• Important: Please leave the frog in place for others to discover.

Event Dates:

• Begins: 9:00 AM, Friday, March 21st 
• New clues released every Friday at 9:00 AM: March 21, March 28, April 4, April 11, and April18
• Ends: Earth Day, April 22nd

Prizes:

• Weekly Drawings: Win gift cards to local favorites like Ish Delicatessen, Boulted Bread, and more!
• At least 4 frogs found? Get a special patch (priority for under 21).
• Over 21 & 8 frogs found? Enter the Grand Prize drawing for amazing rewards like:
  • A Picnic Lunch from Ish Delicatessen (so that you can savor your new favorite spot on the Greenway!)
  • An overnight stay at a Raleigh hotel (TBD)
  • A Great Outdoor Provisions gift card
  • A gift card to a local restaurant (TBD)

• Stay on the trails, respect nature, and practice Leave No Trace.
• Be sure to register each frog find and enjoy the hunt!
