Celebrate the Opening of Crabtree Creek West Greenway
This amazing new 2.5-mile greenway links the Crabtree Creek Greenway from Crabtree Valley to Umstead State Park, closing a long-existing gap between these areas. The route winds through beautiful old-growth forests and includes two large switchbacks and a massive suspension bridge!
Local advocates and trail enthusiasts have founded Friends of the Raleigh Greenway to celebrate and raise funds for small-scale placemaking, public art installations, and new amenities for our city’s greenways. Donations from this event will go towards art along the greenway.
